“Should I go or should I stay?” The film is an autobiographical story and a social survey and it is born from the need to describe the cross condition of suspension and common uncertainty of an entire generation in southern Italy: those who try to resist and those who go away.
A former industrial complex stands on the brink of conversion into a technology park. Meanwhile, the remaining workers still strive inside the old plant. Destiny of a Factory observes a post-industrial realm while portraying the daily life of the working class. It’s a tableau depicting memoirs, filmic archives, and visions of the future in virtual 3D. Here, the next generation is shaped with optimism and the fate of the last workers is yet unknown.
