Winter is the world of silence. The small town of Jesolo perfectly embodies this concept. Shutters closed, the noise of a distance car and the waves of the sea. Summer tourism seems to be a far memory. Looking closely, you realize that even in this long and almost uninhabited stretch life goes on and that you can finally see the most authentic side of this place.
During winter time it seems that Jesolo lives immersed in a giant muffled bubble, as if guarding a secret. The secret of the people who never leave this place. The point of view is of the city itself. It doesn't enter deeply the situations, but it touches gently the surface of each place. It doesn't need to know more. It goes around the place as in inner travel in search of his people while wondering about his being a touristic city.

After 7 years away, Beatrice comes back home with her film crew. Her mission is hard: she wants to break the taboo about the violent father. But trying to make her mother and her two older brothers talk about it is not easy: the topic is delicate, everyone fears to hurt the absent father, and soon her family begins to question her intentions. But Beatrice keeps on asking: why is everyone still denying? Why did no one ever talk about the violence and psychological manipulation? What are we feeling guilty about? What did years of avoidance do to this family? Would meeting the father and confronting him help? Is there a chance to make peace with the past? Beatrice is going to find out – the hard way.

An urban periphery, a small semi-abandoned mansion and its sole inhabitant. A forty-years-old Chinese young man look at the world with cynicism and resentment. Time ago, the building has hosted an experiment of self-management and alternatively shared life. Back then the young man, son of the real Communism, looked at the future and felt to be part of a different history. Today, some friends are still knocking at the door, but just fragments remain of a life lived together, while we can ear the intense noise of the construction sites. A voice over reveals traits of a deep relationship, distant by now. Around the huge Chinese metropolis, constantly in construction and destruction, where the memory's space is increasingly difficult to find.

It is not that long ago that hospitals were considered lifesaving. In Slovakian delivery rooms, however, the happiest day of one's life can easily turn to horror. In public hospitals, instead of trusting their intuition, women must face strict routine, loneliness and different forms of violence.
The film shows the clash between the intuitive, fragile, intimate world of mothers-to-be and the impersonal, systematised hospital environment.
