Valentina Pedicini ha studiato regia alla ZeLIG dal 2007 al 2010.
Il cinema per Valentina è sempre stato una grande passione e a questa passione ha dedicato la sua vita con una vocazione naturale. Valentina era una combattente, sempre disposta a mettersi in gioco e proprio questa sua grande disponibilità è la forza dei suoi film. In tutti i lavori di Valentina si percepisce la sua voce, la sua ricerca e il suo appassionato bisogno di raccontare le storie e, come diceva lei stessa, di dar voce a chi non ha mai avuto voce.

Nell'aprile 2021, ZeLIG, Filmclub e Bolzano Film Festival Bozen, hanno valuto rendere omaggio a Valentina con una retrospettiva dei suoi film. Questa retrospettiva si è svolta nell'ambito dall’iniziativa “Non molliamo - Weiter gehts”, accompagnata da colloqui con chi ha conosciuto e lavorato con Valentina, da una masterclass e da una lunga intervista, realizzata nell’ambito del Biografilm Festival di Bologna nel giugno 2020.

"Un viaggio con Valentina" Masterclass con Bastian Esser (DoP PATER NOSTER, FAITH)
During 20. and 22. November 2020, the local Governement of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano decides to take an important action against the spread of the SARS CoV-2 infections: to test all the population to have a clearer idea of the numbers of the infections.
The event is coordinated by the Sanitary Department and by the Civil Protection, and ca. 1000 doctors and 1500 civil workers are involved; 362.050 will be, at the end, the citizens who have been tested.
As part of their education, ZeLIG students have documented those days: in 8 small crews, they have realised 8 short documentaries, and each of them has a unique point of view and tells of a particular aspect of that important event, which will remain for a long time in the memories for the local population.

On 9 March 2020, the Italian government imposed a national quarantine, restricting the movement of the population except for necessity, work, and health circumstances.
During this time, the students of ZeLIG School for Documentary were separated in their own homes, yet they were still attending online classes together.
During her online seminar, Marzia Mete proposed to tackle the whole situation with a different attitude. The idea was to turn these adverse times into a chance for our students to reflect and react to the events in a creative way, with an open cinematographic approach. "Remotely / Related" is the collection of the realised shorts, films that focus on going deeper in the emotions arising from the lockdown, telling the unfolding events from their own particular perspective.
