A group of them from Kolkata has joined in July 2011 a group of students at the ZeLIG, in Italy, while the students from ZeLIG are doing the same in India in these days, and together they attend seminars and realize short documentaries on different topics in mixed units, formed by indian and italian students. The 2011 exchange is supported by the CILECT-International Association of Film and Television Schools.

The aim of the exchange is to enforce the cultural relationships among film students of different cultures, to give them the chance to grow in an international context and to confront themselves, already during the learning process, with different film-making cultures.

With this exchange ZeLIG enforces her strong training engagement with India, where in 2009 the school realized the LINCT-project (Leveraging International Network for coproductions and Training) and in 2010 realized an ESoDoc session, both thanks to Media International.
