A European Union project under the Preparatory Action of MEDIA International
Leveraging International Networks for Co-Productions and Training - is a project supported by the EU’s MEDIA International Preparatory Action with the specific aim of creating a dialogue for promoting documentary co-productions between India and Europe.
LINCT will engage with three sets of stakeholders in documentary making:
• Film-makers
• Broadcasters/ Commissioning Editors
• Non-Broadcast sector
The last category, the non-broadcast sector, includes NGOs, UN agencies, autonomous bodies and even government agencies / ministries that fund films. We would like to develop a framework by which such organisations can become active stakeholders in the broadcasting and commissioning process. This would allow the substantial funds they invest in film-making to be utilised for developing programming on mainstream television.
We know that film-makers, broadcasters and the non-broadcast sector look at film-making from their own unique perspectives, but we also believe that once they enter into a dialogue, a mutually beneficial and synergetic framework will follow.
If you belong to one of these three sectors, please join us in this process of dialogue and networking by registering as a user of this online platform by clicking here . In case you don’t belong to these sectors, but would like to register as an observer, please click here . By registering, you will be able to join in discussions, network with film-makers, commissioning editors and the non-broadcast sector, as well as upload documents or videos to share for discussion. After registering, do please introduce yourself in Café for All in the Forum area.
